Four Green Fields has a unique modern Irish/Continental menu. We have the finest of draught beers and a substantial mix of top shelf whiskeys. Stop in and allow us to serve you one of the finest pints of Guinness around.

Come cheer on your favorite sport teams while watching the biggest screen in Boston, sitting at the longest bar in Boston, drinking the best poured pints in Boston

Four Green Fields is a home for traditional live Irish music. We host singer/songwriters and a variety of other groups. We also feature monthly shows by national Celtic Rock bands such as; Black 47, The Screaming Orphans, The Prodigals, and more. Additionally, we’re also a literary pub in the tradition of the “Bailey of Dublin” featuring readings from renowned international, national, and regional authors.

We have four uniquely distinct areas: our spacious downstairs dining room and bar (the longest in Boston), “The Pub” upstairs that accommodates private parties and functions, a Chef’s Table in an authentic Irish thatch roof cottage decorated with original works from prominent artists, and our outdoor patio (the largest in downtown Boston).

The main bar and dining area has ample room to accommodate parties of various sizes. Outdoor seating is available during the warmer months of the year. The ideal place to tip a pint (or two).

Four Green Fields has become a cross-cultural center where figures from the musical, literary and theater community rub shoulders with politicians, journalists, broadcasters, sports people, the financial and political worlds – all who have an interest in these fields and anyone else who just wants a pint and some good and stimulating company.

We are located at One Boston Place. The establishment, named after a song by Irish singer Tommy Makem, refers to the Four Provinces of Ireland. We have a quality wine list, a unique selection of rotating draft ales, and a comprehensive selection of Irish whiskey, Scotch, and small-batch spirits from local and craft distilleries.

The main floor features a small cottage with an authentic thatched roof done by a professional thatcher from Scotland — a design on which the company owns a US trademark. The cottage houses several works of Irish, French, and Eastern European art and is our Chef’s Table seating up to 20 people for private dining, wine tastings, and cocktail parties.

The second floor, known simply as “The Pub,” is a cozier spot with its own bar and a large window that will allow you to view the cottage and the main floor. This room is available for private functions and is a great place to watch your favorite live band.

Four Green Fields is a literary pub in the tradition of the Bailey of Dublin and The Bells of Hell in New York City; it is a home for Irish music, both traditional and rock, and will feature weekly readings from international, national and local authors.

Above all, we have an experienced and friendly staff committed to ensuring you have the best possible time here at Four Green Fields.

"The Pub," located upstairs, serves as an ideal solution for gatherings of up to 100 people and is a great vantage point for shows below.

Private Dining and Gatherings
We provide two private dining rooms. The larger room upstairs has its own facilities for special events and will seat up to 100 people. The view to the stage and first floor dining area from the second floor is great, especially when there is live music.

The interior of our thatched cottage houses a beautiful collection of original art and is suitable for meetings or gatherings of up to 20 people.

The smaller room is located in the thatched roof cottage that houses most of our art work. This room is cozier and has its unique charm; with full service drinks and dining, it is great for parties up to 20 people. This room is uniquely designed to create a feel of an authentic Irish thatched roof cottage.

Please note, given advance notice, we can provide a customized menu for either room. For reservations or inquiries please call 617-367-4747 and ask for our event/party coordinator, Lindsey Ryan.
